#FreshFriday // June 16

It’s finally the weekend and team clover is happy we are jet-setting to New York City and not in paradise. Not only are we throwing an awesome event for SwitchFit, but we also will be celebrating the men in our lives for Father’s Day on Sunday. Before we leave you, we shared our favorite reads from this week in our latest #FreshFriday.
Check Out The View (Well+Good)

There’s nothing better than a room with a view while on vacay… except maybe a gym with a view. It’s hard enough trying to fit in a workout when you’re steps away from a white sandy beach, but these 10 hotels made their gyms equally as enjoyable as the rest of their amenities by strategically placing them all with breathtaking views. Our favorites include these hotel gyms in Maldives, Indonesia, New Zealand and Switzerland. No more excuses for skipping leg day.

Nerd Alert  (Science Alert)

We love a good gadget to tell us everything we need to know from our steps to our heart rate, but this new ‘wearable’ is taking it to the next level.. MIT developed color-changing tattoo ink that monitors your health in real time (picking our chins up). The goal is to create an interactive display that can function off of blood sugar and sodium levels. So far they can track glucose + pH levels and already have been contacted by diabetics to test out the tattoos. While they’ve  only tested the ink on pig skin, they hope to further develop this to help those with a health condition or for those who just love tracking self-data.

In goop Health (ELLE)

This week was the inaugural Goop Health Summit which is a life event centered around health, hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and her lifestyle group goop. Not to mention the amazing line up of speakers including gal pals Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Lena Dunham and Tory Burch. During the event of all things wellness, some new “goop-isms” were created like, earthing which means putting your feet in the grass and letting the light in. Orgasm Equality was also talked about at the event along with stroking, leech therapy and plant-based medicine, aka Mary Jane.

Taste The Rainbow (The LA Girl)

It’s safe to say colorful food is having a moment, so why not add more to the list? One of the best things about LA is the emphasis on dining experiences, especially when they’re ‘Instagramable.’. This round-up of the five must-have rainbow-themed foods, from grilled cheeses to cannolis, has us wanting to try them all.

Have a great weekend!
