Friday, it’s wonderful to see you again. Whether you’re laying low this weekend (what’s up with this #JuneGloom?!) or have an action-packed weekend ahead, let’s review this week. Here’s your weekly dose of #FreshFridays.
Adidas Is Making Trash In The Ocean Trendy (Racked)
Throwing trash in the ocean has never been cool or trendy, and unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that. One of our fave athleisure brands, Adidas, is taking recycling and beach clean-ups to the next level: they’ve created a shoe entirely out of plastic from the ocean. There is currently 40 million pounds (!!!) of plastic in the Pacific Ocean alone, so we love how Adidas is raising awareness around ocean waste. Even though these shoes are super rad, don’t go throwing more trash in the ocean if you miss out on these limited edition shoes.
Ever Dreamt Of Being A Mermaid? Well, It’s About To Become A Reality (Well + Good)
Bored of swimming laps? Well, it may have just got a bit more interesting. San Diego’s Hotel De Coronado is asking you to swap the sneakers for a sparkly tail and take part in a 45-minute cardio pool session… while wearing a mermaid tail. If you don’t fancy the workout, at least you’ll get a great Insta pic dressed as an IRL Ariel.
The Future Is Health (Inc)
We are big fans of Deepak Chopra here at clover PR (throw-back to working with Peak Mind and The Chopra Foundation for THIS event). Meditation Guru, Deepak has launched an app to create ‘social transformation’ and aid in personal health. The app includes many features, so much so that it may work out to be a favorable long-term choice for HR departments. Read on to see how this app is different to most meditation apps. #SweatTechIsTheFuture
